我国首次实现光学轨道角动量光的非线性操控

记者从中国科学技术大学获悉，该校光学与光学工程系光纤与激光技术许立新课题组，首次设计并实现了一种基于色散管理的新型涡旋光纤，该涡旋光纤可操控轨道角动量光的非线性。该小组与中科院量子信息重点实验室史保森教授合作进行了相关实验验证，研究成果日前发表在应用物理权威杂志《应用物理评论》上。

基于光学轨道角动量复用技术的高维光通信技术可大幅度增加光子的信息携带量，提高光通信网络的信道容量，是未来光通信系统发展的重要趋势。高维复用光通信系统中，由于涉及多种模式的时分、波分及模分复用，光纤中的非线性效应难以对其实现有效操控，制约了高维光通信技术的发展。基于轨道角动量光的非线性控制一直是高维光通信中悬而未决的问题。

实验验证原理及数据

科研人员通过对涡旋光纤空间维度的群速度色散特性操控，不仅实现了稳定的轨道角动量模式传输，而且同时实现了多个模式相位匹配，在实验上首次验证了一种低串扰、多模式的轨道角动量光的模内四波混频现象，实验结果与设计理论相符。同时，这种新型的涡旋光纤具有相当平坦的非线性增益带宽，可同时对多个轨道角动量模式提供放大，为高维复用光通信光放大提供一种技术途径。
